Nechte se unášet hudebními krajinami – tajemnými, křehkými, divokými i krásně melancholickými. Prostě okouzlujícími tak, jako se jeví svět skrz barevná sklíčka kaleidoskopu.
Na planetě nenajdete jinou kapelu jako je tato. Sestavu tvoří čtyři vokalistky a čtyři kontrabasisté. Je to hudba plná pozoruhodných impresí, jedinečných prostorů a barev. Skladby jsou písněmi beze slov o širých, osamělých místech a náladách, které v nás taková místa vyvolávají – od zasněžených severských plání až po ozvěny jižní pouště nebo atmosféru horské túry. Působí to jako tajemná ozvěna dávné existence v krajině, kde se zastavil čas.
V roce 2024 vydal Hlaskontrabas Oktet oceňované album Kaleidoscapes, které získalo nominaci na Ceny Anděl v kategorii jazz a zvítězilo v anketě hudebních publicistů Český rozhlas Jazz Sklizeň. Hlaskontrabas Oktet tvoří přední hudebníci české scény.

You won’t find another band like this on the planet. It is composed of four female vocalists and four double bass players. Music full of remarkable impressions, singular spaces, and colours. The compositions are songs without words about vast, lonely spaces and the moods they evoke in us—from snow-covered Nordic plains to the echoes of a southern desert to the atmosphere of a mountain hike. It is like a mysterious echo of an ancient existence in a landscape where time has stood still.
Hlaskontrabas Oktet released the acclaimed album Kaleidoscapes in 2024, which received a nomination for the biggest music awards in the Czech Republic, the Anděl Awards, in the jazz category and also won the music publicists‘ poll, Czech Radio Jazz Harvest. Hlaskontrabas Octet is composed of leading musicians from the Czech scene.
